Good afternoon parents and students! It is a glorious day in 4th grade because we don't have any homework today! That is not totally true. Multicultural festivities start in grand style tomorrow! Our food tasting will be at 2:00. Please make sure that you bring your assigned food contribution to our amazing Fiesta! Each student in our class was asked to bring in a 12 count of Sprite to sell the day of Festival. Our class has brought in one 12-pack thus far. Let's see if we can get that total closer to the 19 students that we have in the class! Remember that our class is also trying to win an ice cream party by having the most parent volunteers participate. As always, I appreciate all that you do to make this Festival as successful as possible!

ELA - Students who have not completed their Award book report are bringing it home for homework. The book report must be completed at home and ready to turn in Monday morning. Please check with your student to see if it is turned in.
We are preparing for Festival. I am taking photos of all the students for our class clock that will be in the art auction. We are prepping our class raffle basket as well. Thank you to all who donated. We have a great prize for some lucky winner!!! Posting from the tablet again. The students are getting used to it being out and about in the classroom. Here is a picture of your student's day. Ask what we talked about and if we got to everything. I am also going to include a note from PTO about Festival. Our class would love to win an ice cream party!!!!!
Here is a note from Lauren Griffith about Festival and volunteer opportunities: As of today we only have five volunteers signed up to help at the Festival. Without enough volunteers the Festival won't run smoothly. The class with the most volunteer participation will receive an ice cream party!! It is a new day for the blog. I am posting from my tablet not my classroom computer!!! I should be able to post pictures of things that we are doing easier than on my computer. Join me. Make sure that you visit the blog daily for homework updates and to see what is going on in Room 314!!
Math STAAR is in the books. I'm so proud of my students for diligently applying themselves. Tonight's homework is the same as last night's homework. Eat a good, healthy dinner, get plenty of rest tonight, and eat a "brain-smart" breakfast in the morning! Make sure that your student has a book with them to read after the test. Thank you for supporting your student's effort to be the best they can be and reach for the stars!!!!!
